Worship
Worship at St Barnabas is offered with beauty and very much in the Catholic Tradition of the Church of England and centred on the Mass (The Eucharist or Holy Communion).
Mass is celebrated each weekday as advertised. This is a simple 30- minute mass, without music or sermon. Low Mass contains all the elements of the Eucharist and many worshippers value it’s simplicity.
Sundays the Parish Mass is celebrated at 11am. This is the centrepiece of our worship, celebrated with full ceremonial, incense, hymns, sermon and Sung Mass Settings. It lasts about 1 hour.
There is a Children’s Prayer Space with activities and seating for children 2-7 years together with their parents/carers. There are also occasionally Sung Masses on weeknights throughout the year. (e.g. Epiphany, Candlemass, Ascension).
