The Church on Poets Corner, serving the people of West Hove, which is a parish of the Society of St Wilfrid & St Hilda within the Diocese of Chichester
We are a Christian community united by our faith. We desire to worship Jesus Christ and serve our community so that everyone can know the Good News of life in him.
We seek to make a difference in Hove through the daily worship we offer, through practical serving of our local community, and by helping those around us grow in faith.
Our church has stood as a witness to Jesus Christ in the heart of Hove since 1888 and we are the Church of England parish east and west of Sackville Road. The church is situated on Poet’s Corner.
Every week people come into St Barnabas to light a candle or say a prayer or just sit quietly to soak in the beauty of holiness, which can be felt so strongly in this wonderful building.
Public worship has resumed after the November lockdown
